Moravský Písek – Ekofarma Sečkových
Silvopastoral and silvoarable systems established by an organic farmer since 2007, organic farm 250 ha, incl. 50 ha extensive orchards.
The landscape of Moravský Písek was changed because of forced collectivisation of agriculture (land consolidation, drying of wetlands, drainage of arable land). Mr. and Mrs. Sečka wanted to farm wanted to farm so that it would not continue to degrade the land anymore. First they started planting trees and windbreaks. Since 2007, they have planted approximately 63,000 trees and 26,000 shrubs.
